Our team

Mehdi

Mehdi received his B.S. from Shahid Rajaee University in 2015, M.S. from San Jose State University in 2017 and PhD degree from Northeastern University in 2022 all in Electrical Engineering. He is currently working as Staff Mixed-signal IC Design Engineer at MediaTek. 

Mehdi was president of Iranian Student Association of Northeastern University (ISAN) from 2019 to 2022 for three years and is currently president of public relation committee at Iranian Association of Boston (IAB). He has tried to contribute to the Iranian community in the US by supporting the students who are trying to reach their dreams and make a better future. He decided to join HappyHelpers in 2020 to make a more organized support of Iranian students community.

Maryam

Maryam obtained her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2020. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. She joined HappyHelpers in 2022.

Maryam’s primary motivation outside of work is fostering the growth of people via sharing knowledge experiences and resources. She has a deep appreciation for education and its power to enhance people’s lives.

She had been donating to several non-profit organizations before deciding to join HappyHelpers. However, she took advantage of the opportunity to go further and is now a devoted member of HappyHelpers team. 

Mahsa

Mahsa obtained her M.S in Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2020. She is currently a surgical physician assistant at Brigham Women Hospital, Boston, MA

Mahsa believes education should be available and accessible to everyone without extraordinary cost. That’s why she joined HappyHelpers in 2020 to establish a foundation in order to provide assistant to educators.

Amir

Amir has taken the same path as HappyHelpers applicants take in 2017, however, he believes the path is getting even more challenging every day for students and this was the main motivation for him to join HappyHelpers in 2020. Amir’s favorite part of his work is when he sees the students share the photos or videos they take during their flight o the U.S. 

Besides being a HappyHelpers member, he works as an architect, shaping buildings and cities to make them a better place to live. In his free time, he enjoys wandering around different neighborhoods in Boston and getting inspiration from virtually everything.
