Every March
One of the largest gatherings of the Iranians and Persian-speaking community in New England to celebrate the Persian New Year. It is organized by IAB every year in late March at a major venue in the Boston area. The program generally involves a main performance by a prominent Iranian artist and also several other cultural activities and performances by local musicians and artists.

Every December
An annual event that IAB organizes on the last day of fall to celebrate Yalda, an ancient Persian tradition, marking the arrival of winter and the longest night of the year. This open-to-the-public event involves performances by popular Iranian artists and musicians, traditional Iranian story telling, poetry reading, dance performances and several other cultural and fun activities.

Every Wednesday
This event is generally held once a month and includes recitals and performances of various genres of poetry and music by the members of the community interested in Persian poetry. This event is open to the public.
Monthly
2nd Sunday of each Month
“Shaname Khani” is usually held on the second Sunday of each month at IAB, and is organized by “Shahnameh-Khani Dar Boston” group, which is a group of Iranians residing in the Boston area with the goal of studying and promoting Shahnameh of Ferdowsi. The program involves networking sessions, reading and discussing Shahnameh, and lectures on Shahnameh-related subjects.

Every April
An annual family picnic organized by IAB in early April to celebrate the tradition of Sizdah Bedar and the end of the Nowruz holidays. The event involves outdoor activities for families and children as well as serving Sizdah Bedar refreshments such as charcoal grilled corn and watermelon.

Every March
A popular event that IAB holds every year on the last Tuesday night of the Pesian calendar year to celebrate the ancient tradition of Charshanbe Suri. In addition to dance and music performances by several local bands, the event features a “jumping over the fire” ceremony to observe this traditional Charshanbe Suri custom. The event is open to the public and is held in late March.

One of IAB’s longest-held and most popular events, where every wednesday members of the community gather to have lunch together and enjoy various fun, networking, and educational activities. This event is open to the public.
