Yalda Night, the longest and one of the most cherished nights in Persian culture, symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and hope over despair. It is a time when families and friends gather to share stories, poetry, laughter, and seasonal treats such as pomegranates, watermelon, and ajil (mixed nuts). At the Iranian Association of Boston, we bring this tradition to life with an evening filled with live music, classical and contemporary poetry recitations, cultural presentations, and warm hospitality. Each Yalda celebration becomes a bridge between generations—connecting our elders who carry the traditions and our youth who will carry them forward.
Cultural Programs & Entertainment
Our Yalda events feature talented local and guest performers, from musicians and dancers to storytellers and poets. We carefully curate an atmosphere that reflects the beauty and richness of Persian heritage, ensuring every detail—from décor to music—immerses guests in an authentic cultural experience. This celebration not only strengthens community bonds but also educates and inspires attendees from all backgrounds.
