The Hamyary Program at the Iranian Association of Boston (IAB) provides non-monetary support and limited need-based financial assistance to members of the Iranian community in the Greater Boston area. This program is designed to help individuals and families facing hardships caused by loss of employment, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. We also support newcomers who have recently relocated to Boston and may need help, resources, or advice from fellow community members as they settle in.
This year, our Hamyary team assisted several families with relocation and hosted a Winter Coat Drive, which provided warm clothing to 60 families in need. These efforts were made possible thanks to the generosity and participation of our community.
Emergency Support for Students
Are you an Iranian student in the Greater Boston area facing an unexpected financial emergency?
The Emergency Student Relief Fund provides limited, need-based financial assistance to eligible students experiencing urgent challenges such as housing instability, medical expenses, loss of income, or unexpected educational costs.
All requests are reviewed confidentially and on a case-by-case basis.

When applying, please provide enough background information about your situation and the type of support you are seeking. This helps our committee review your request, determine the next steps, and decide how IAB can best provide non-financial support.
All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure fair and thoughtful consideration.
